This 2014 home is certified to strict standards as a Passive House thanks to its many passive solar features that provide “net zero’’ energy consumption. South-facing glass with special windows provide most of the heating and extensive ceiling insulation with an exterior-insulated concrete foundation help maintain comfort. The solar electric system on the roof provides more than enough power to run appliances and lights. Beetle-kill pine creates a beautiful ceiling through the house.
